Moon journal
Eight phases, eight ways to write.
The Moon takes about twenty-nine and a half days to close its cycle, and each phase has its own colour: you don't set an intention the way you take stock. This path offers, for each of the eight phases, a few chosen writing prompts and a small gesture to close the page. Open the one you're in, take your notebook, and let the sky set the tempo.
- New Moon The darkest night of the month is also the most welcoming for a blank page.
- Waxing Crescent A thread of light returns in the west: what you sowed now asks for a first move.
- First Quarter Half a moon, dead center in the evening sky: the moment things grind, and things get decided.
- Waxing Gibbous Almost full, not quite: the Moon teaches you the art of the final adjustments.
- Full Moon Everything is lit, even what you had no intention of looking at.
- Waning Gibbous The light starts to ebb: the moment to pass on what the full moon showed you.
- Last Quarter The half-shadow has switched sides: what needs to be set down is waiting for you to name it.
- Waning Crescent A last thread of moon at dawn, and the quiet before the next seed.
