How is compatibility calculated?
From the two dates, the calculator works out the sun signs, then crosses their elements (fire, earth, air, water) and their modes following the classic theory of temperaments. The reading unfolds across five dimensions rather than a percentage: a single score flattens everything that makes a pair interesting.
Can two signs be incompatible?
No: no pair is a dead end. Some matches flow on their own, others ask for more translation, and the friction of a square often makes the liveliest stories. The reading honestly tells you where it flows and where it catches.
Are the birth times needed?
Not for this reading: sun signs are calculated from the dates alone. Full synastry, the kind that crosses your Moons, your risings and your houses, lives in the app, where each person enters their whole chart.
Are the first names required?
No. They only serve to write the reading with both your names rather than in abstract terms. You can leave them blank.
Does a square or an opposition doom a relationship?
No; often it is the opposite. The so-called difficult aspects describe friction, and friction is an engine: it pushes each person to grow where they resist. Lasting couples are built as much on worked-through squares as on comfortable trines; a pair that flows too easily can fall asleep, a contrasted pair can sculpt itself. The question is never whether the aspect is good, but what the two make of it.
Why not a compatibility percentage?
Because a number crushes everything it claims to sum up. Announcing "73%" says nothing about where it flows or where it catches; naming the strength and the work of a bond, dimension by dimension, gives you something to live with. Our readings separate five planes (attraction, emotion, daily life, conversation, direction) to show the relief rather than an average. An average, between a peak and a trough, mostly tells you it saw nothing.
