What your birth chart shows

The calculation places every planet in the zodiac at the minute you were born, as seen from your city. Six layers stack up, from the best known to the finest.

The Sun
Your zodiac sign: what drives you, the way you shine.
The Moon
Your inner weather, your emotional needs, what reassures you.
The rising sign
The sign rising in the east when you were born: the way you meet the world.
The planets
Mercury for thinking, Venus for love, Mars for drive, then the slow planets.
The houses
The twelve stages of your life: work, love, home, friendship…
The aspects
The angles between your planets: their alliances and their frictions.

How it works

  1. You enter your date, time and city of birth.
  2. The positions are computed from an astronomical ephemeris, to the minute.
  3. Your full chart opens in the app, read layer by layer.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to calculate my birth chart?

Three things: your date of birth, your time of birth as precisely as possible, and your city of birth. The city is enough, no need for exact coordinates: a few miles do not move a rising sign. With the time, you get the full chart: positions, rising sign, Midheaven, houses. Without it, a solar chart, which already says a lot.

What if I don’t know my birth time?

Before any approximation, ask for a full copy of your birth certificate from the registry office where your birth was recorded: in many countries the time is written down to the minute. If it can’t be found, calculate the chart for noon: the planetary positions stay right, except for a Moon at the very start or end of a sign, but the rising sign and the houses remain uncertain until the time is known.

How accurate is the calculation?

The positions come from modern astronomical routines, from the same family as professional ephemerides: the precision goes far beyond what an interpretation can tell apart. The uncertainty never comes from the calculation; it comes from the birth time you enter. A time from a birth certificate gives a reliable rising sign, “around eight in the morning” gives a likely one.

Does my birth chart change over time?

Your natal chart, no: it is the photograph of the sky at the moment you were born. What moves are the transits, today’s planets forming angles with your birth positions; astrology reads that conversation between the sky of the day and your natal sky over time. Your chart is the score; the transits are its successive performances.

What is the difference between a birth chart and a horoscope?

A horoscope speaks to a whole sign at once, the same text for everyone born under it. A birth chart exists in a single copy: the sky at the exact minute and place you were born, with your planets, your houses and the dialogue between them. The guide explains how to read it, layer by layer. Read the birth chart guide →
