Alchemy does not hand you a number out of thin air. It crosses your two complete Imprints, essence by essence, and draws out five dimensions of your bond. The overall score is the average of the five. It is strictly symmetrical: your Alchemy with them is exactly theirs with you. And it is entirely calculated: the same two Imprints will always give, everywhere, the same reading. Nothing is guessed. Everything is crossed.
