How it works, and what we ask of you
- Free, for real. No account, no key, no limits. Put it wherever you like.
- Light and safe. The widget is a sealed-off frame: it reads nothing on your page, sets no cookies, and won't slow your site down.
- Always up to date on its own. The values come from an astronomical ephemeris and refresh every night. Nothing to maintain.
- The thank-you link is yours. You can edit it or remove it: nothing here is required.
- One little wish. Please don't stretch the card until it's unreadable, and keep the small “nohemia.com” at the bottom: it's our only signature.
Open-source, and built for developers
The widget code is free and open, under the MIT license, on GitHub. There you'll find the code to copy (HTML, WordPress, React, Vue, Webflow) and a small installable web component. github.com/jadenohemia/nohemia-widgets · npm i @nohemia/widgets
Prefer to bring your own data? The moon is available as static JSON, freely accessible: today's phase, the next full moon, the next new moon and the ten upcoming lunations, regenerated every night. nohemia.com/widgets/lune/data.json

Frequently asked questions
Are Nohemia widgets free?
Yes, completely. No account, no API key, no limits. You copy a block of code and paste it wherever you like on your site.
How do I add a widget to my site?
Pick a style, copy the code (an iframe plus a small credit line), and paste it into your page's HTML. It works on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Ghost, or any site that accepts HTML.
Do I need to install a script or a plugin?
No. The widget is a simple iframe: no JavaScript to load on your end, no plugin, no cookies. It's lighter and safer than a script-based widget.
Is the data up to date?
Yes. Each widget is recalculated every night from a real astronomical ephemeris, down to the minute. There's nothing for you to maintain, it refreshes on its own.
Can I change the style or the size?
Yes: each widget comes in light or dark, in a small or medium size. The generator gives you the matching code. You can also adjust the width and height right in the code.
Do I have to keep the credit link?
It's the only thank-you we ask, but it isn't required: you can edit the text or remove the credit line, and the widget will work exactly the same.
