Personal month
The personal month is calculated by adding the figure of the current personal year to the calendar month number, then reducing the total to a digit from 1 to 9. For example, in a personal year 5, the month of March (3) gives 5+3 = 8, a personal month 8. It refines the personal year by giving it a shorter tone, month after month, within the nine-year cycle.
What it gives you
Your personal month tightens the focus: where the year gives the overall climate, it tells you the color of the next thirty days. It is the scale where you set concrete intentions. A month 1 invites you to launch, a month 7 to slow down and look inward. It makes the year more alive, closer to your everyday life.
How to work it out
First calculate your personal year, then add the month number: January is 1, February 2, through December 12, which you reduce to 3. Add the personal year and month, reduce to a digit from 1 to 9. Follow them across twelve months: you will see the cycle breathe in short seasons, nested inside the larger year.
