Personal year
The personal year is calculated by adding the day and month of birth to the current calendar year, then reducing the total to a digit from 1 to 9. It describes the climate of a given year, its dominant tone and the kind of experiences that tend to arise within it. It belongs to a recurring nine-year cycle, from the initiating 1 to the closing 9.
What it points to
Your personal year gives you the color of your present moment: one season to launch, another to consolidate, another still to sort through and let go. It commands nothing. Above all it helps you move with the rhythm of the year rather than rowing against what is quietly ripening within you.
How to work it out
Add the figure of your birth day, the figure of your birth month, then the current year, and reduce it all to a digit from 1 to 9. Then come back to your life path: you will see how the shade of this year speaks with the larger underlying direction of your journey.
