North Node (lunar)
The North Node is one of the two points where the Moon’s orbit crosses the ecliptic, always opposite the South Node. These are not bodies but calculated points. In modern astrology, the North Node marks the direction of growth, what a person is invited to develop. The karmic reading sees it as a compass pointing forward, toward qualities still uncomfortable yet carrying evolution in this life.
What it invites you to grow
The North Node points to what does not come naturally to you but stretches you. Its sign and house describe ground where you feel clumsy at first, then deeply alive. Following it means agreeing to learn something new rather than staying where you already feel at ease.
Paired with the South Node
The North Node is never read alone: it forms an axis with the South Node, its exact opposite. The South is the familiar and the already-acquired; the North is the unknown to explore. One makes no sense without the other, and the whole work is to move gently from South toward North.
