Fall
Fall is the sign opposite a planet's exaltation, where it is most disregarded. The Sun is in fall in Libra, Saturn in Aries, Venus in Virgo. A planet in fall struggles to be recognized, its function seeming lessened or awkward there. It is one of the two essential debilities in traditional astrology, the inverted mirror of exaltation, where the same planet was held in honor.
The opposite of honor
Where exaltation receives the planet with great ceremony, fall leaves it at the door. Its nature stays intact, but the sign makes no room for it, and its expression can seem shy or out of step. Venus in Virgo, for instance, loves in a more restrained, more exacting way than in its usual brilliance.
A quietness to befriend
A planet in fall in your chart tells no tale of failure, but of a function that expresses itself softly, without fanfare. Often this is where a particular depth resides, a way of doing things that is yours and seeks no approval. Befriend this placement rather than fearing it.
