Expression number
The expression number is calculated from all the letters of the full birth name, given names and surname. In the Pythagorean tradition, each letter receives a value from 1 to 9, and the sum is reduced to a single digit. Also called the destiny number, it describes a person’s natural talents, abilities and the way they act and unfold in the world.
What it says about you
Your expression number names the palette of gifts you carry forward: what you do almost effortlessly and the way you meet the world. It shows you the tools already in your hand. When you hesitate about a path, it reminds you of what is asking to be expressed through you.
How to work it out
Write your full birth name, give each letter its value from 1 to 9 using the Pythagorean table, add everything together and then reduce. You land on a digit from 1 to 9, or a master number. Compare it to your soul urge number afterward: you will see where your outer gesture meets your deeper drive.
