Glossary Lithotherapy

Chakra

In the Indian tradition, the chakras are seven energy centers aligned along the spine, from the root to the crown of the head. Each is linked to a color, a life theme and a part of the body. In lithotherapy, stones are mapped to the chakras by their color and symbolism: a pink crystal for the heart, a violet crystal for the crown. It is a symbolic framework, not an anatomy.

The seven centers

Tradition describes the root, the sacral, the solar plexus, the heart, the throat, the third eye and the crown. You do not need to take them literally to find them useful: they are a poetic map of our big human needs, from safety to connection, that helps you name what you are moving through.

Stones and colors

The logic is simple and visual: a stone is matched to the chakra whose color it shares. You can enjoy composing a little set by hue, knowing that nothing here is medical. It is mostly a lovely way to tie your intentions to a gesture and a color.
