Venus

Venus is the planet of love, pleasure and values in Western astrology. Its sign and house describe how a person loves, what draws them, what they find beautiful and how they seek harmony in their relationships. Tradition counts it among the benefics, tied to sweetness and to art; psychological astrology reads it as the sense of worth, taste, and the capacity to receive as much as to give.

What Venus lights up

Where Venus sits in your chart is where you reach for beauty and softness: how you love, how you charm, how you bond. Its sign colors your style, sensual and loyal in Taurus, light and charming in Libra, and its house shows the area of life where you most need pleasure, tenderness and accord with others.

In the tradition

Classical astrologers called Venus the lesser benefic, keeper of love, art and the pleasure of the senses. The modern reading widens its scope: Venus tells you not only who you love but what you value, what you hold precious, and the way you let yourself be moved by beauty.
