Neptune is never lived in the present: it is the planet of mists, of ideals, of whatever dissolves the edges. The rhythm

Neptune goes retrograde for a little over five months every twelve months: almost half a year, every year, without exception. The planet crosses the zodiac in one hundred sixty-five years, roughly fourteen years per sign: its annual loops therefore pass over the same degrees for a long stretch, and a point in your chart touched by Neptune is usually touched for two or three years, in waves spaced a few months apart. It is a transit measured in life-seasons, never in weeks.
