Capricorn
Capricorn is the tenth sign of the zodiac, a cardinal earth sign ruled by Saturn, covering roughly 22 December to 19 January. In Western astrology it is tied to ambition, structure and long-term patience. Having the Sun in Capricorn describes a person drawn to responsibility, mastery and lasting achievement, sometimes at the cost of lightness and rest.
The Capricorn temperament
If you are a Capricorn, you build to last: you aim for a summit, you accept the effort, you take the time it takes. Your cardinal earth makes you serious, dependable and able to see a project through to the end. Your strength is patience and a sense of duty; your lesson is allowing yourself softness and not measuring everything by success.
Its place in the zodiac
Tenth of the twelve signs, Capricorn gives shape and solidity to the vision Sagittarius opened up. An earth sign, it shares that ground with Taurus and Virgo; a cardinal sign, it launches the winter season. Across from it, Cancer recalls that home and heart matter as much as the climb: the inner answers the outer.
